It feels like the school canteen, lining up with a tray for food ... just a lot better authentic Japanese food at around $10.00 ... you won't find a better freshly made udon in Melbourne. Absolute value for money ... hence the venue and self-service, return the tray guys ... the training you need before going to Japan

Give it a 1 star I dare you I genuinely dare you this place has my heart and soul. It’s cheap, it’s fast it’s cosy, you eat at your own pace. It’s genuinely such a nice almost indie restaurant which has such a friendly vibe that’s further supported by the kind staff. I kid you not it is so cheap, for this quality stuff it is absolutely crazy how you can get this for sub $10, not only that they give you free toppings. Literally the only problem with this restaurant is that it might be a bit confusing to order first time around but that doesn’t even scratch its perfection. I love this play get it to 5 stars NOW

Sth warm during the cold day! Definitely comfort food to me! Everything is good, except for the handmade noodles are a little too hard for me! It will be perfect if the noodles are softer! Fried food are great too!

It’s honestly refreshing to find a bowl of udon soup noodles for under $10 these days, especially when so many everyday things like smoothies can cost $15+ and sandwiches hit $25. Of course, we all love fancy and tasty meals, but sometimes you just want something straightforward, filling, and fairly priced—and this place delivers exactly that. I understand running a business in Australia isn’t easy, with high costs all around, so I truly appreciate what this shop is doing. It can get a bit busy during peak hours, but the turnover is quick and the service moves smoothly. A great option for a quick, satisfying meal in the CBD.

Brought me back to when I lived in Japan and visited little Udon restaurants. Pick a number, they will add the noodles, broth, crack in an egg, you then pay your $8-12 and add in your little bits of tempura and pickles. Broth was delicious and rich. Highly recommend and surprised such a great value place exists. Give it a shot

This place is always packed because of how good and cheap the food is. Service is really fast. The udon is fresh and the broth is delicious. You can also get add ons like chicken karaage and all sorts of other fried stuff. The curry udon is also pretty good. It feels like you're tranported back to Japan. The seating is pretty tight and can be a little dirty. But that's ok as long as the food is good. You eat it quick and get out quick so don't be daunted by the long lines.

The soup was tasty and the beef portion was just right. I’m usually not a fan of thick noodles like udon (I prefer thin or medium ones), but one bowl was more than enough to fill me up, and I still enjoyed it! The space is a bit tight, so it’s more of a quick bite place than one to sit and hang out for long. But overall, I had a great experience. Delicious, affordable, and worth trying!
